big Beam Competitions

Yearly, students can participate in a number of contests aimed at introducing collegiates to precast/prestressed concrete products through real-world examples and applications.

The Big Beam Competition is our longest-running collegiate competition. Here engineering students get hands on experience working closely with a local precast, prestressed concrete producer to design and create their very own big beam.
